Restoration Torre Raggio    -  completed 2008

Restoration and extension of a very old tower in the south part of Umbria. On both sides of the tower it was possible to see two small wings (as ruins) and this is what gave us the idea of extending the two wings to make the tower standing even more imposingly between them (and adding livable space as well). The tower was rendered, as it was originally, whereas the two wings have been built with exposed stone. On the left wing there is the kitchen and living area, on the right wing the bedrooms (on both floors). The tower includes the hall, a small sitting room and a mezzanine bedroom at the top. The structure was restored in the traditional way, with chestnut timber and terracotta ceiling tiles. The interior is tuned to a modern feel, with soft travertine floor that gives light to all the spaces.
