Restoration Torricella    -  completed 2015

I have worked on farmhouses restorations for nearly 30 years. To bring back to life these examples of simple, vernacular and often spontaneous architecture seems to me an obligation towards my region, Umbria, where the countryside is dotted with so many of these old farm houses. This building, on the very top of a hill, needed an extension to increase the kitchen space on the ground floor and add a master bedroom upstairs. Internally it was completely renovated, with new terracotta floors, new grey-green windows and underfloor heating fed by a heat pump. A renovation in Umbria by architect Marco Carlini
