Restoration Vaglie - completed 2005
Restoration of a very old farmhouse secluded on the hills between Umbertide and Pietralunga. The original farmhouse had been abandoned for over 15 years so it was in very bad conditions and needed a thorough restoration. The structure was restored in the traditional way, with chestnut timber and terracotta ceiling tiles and some exposed stone walls. The interior is tuned to a modern feel, with resin floor that give continuity to the open spaces in the living area on the ground floor. The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms on the top floor - the views from the terrace are breathtaking.
